Jewellery Care Guide

At Gemray Jewels, our jewellery is designed to be treasured. With the right care, you can help maintain its beauty, shine and condition for years to come.

Keep Jewellery Away From Chemicals

Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, cosmetics, hairspray, cleaning products, chlorine and other chemicals, as these may affect the finish of your jewellery and gemstones.

Remove Before Water & Activities

We recommend removing your jewellery before showering, swimming, bathing, exercising or doing household chores. Prolonged exposure to water and moisture may affect the jewellery over time.

Handle With Care

Avoid dropping, hitting or placing heavy pressure on your jewellery. Gemstones can be delicate and may become scratched, chipped or loosened through impact.

Store Properly

When not wearing your jewellery, store each piece separately in a clean, dry and preferably soft-lined jewellery box or pouch. This helps prevent scratching and tangling.

Keep Jewellery Clean

Gently clean your jewellery using a soft, dry or slightly damp jewellery cloth. Avoid abrasive materials and harsh cleaning products.

Sterling Silver & Rhodium-Plated Jewellery

Sterling silver may naturally tarnish over time due to exposure to air, moisture and chemicals. Rhodium-plated jewellery may also gradually lose its coating through normal wear. This is normal and may require professional cleaning or re-plating over time.

Gemstone Care

Natural gemstones have different levels of hardness and durability. Handle gemstone jewellery with care and avoid sudden impacts, extreme temperatures and harsh chemicals.

Important

Damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, improper care, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or exposure to chemicals is generally not considered a manufacturing fault.
